Jan, Robin, Mal and all the family would like to thank everyone who sent cards and messages of condolence following the recent loss of Millie, along with all those who attended the funeral and those who have made donations to the British Heart Foundation and/or the Jersey Stroke Club. A sincere thank you to Doctor Eva Slater and the team at Cleveland Clinic for ensuring Millie was as comfortable as possible in her last few days. A sincere thank you to Eileen and all the staff at Pinewood Residential Home where Millie was a resident for nearly five years and for the loving care shown over that time. A big thank you to Pastor Andrew De Gruchy for taking such a lovely service, Clifford Measday for the reading, Doreen Measday who spoke so kindly and to Lisa who brought back many happy memories. Also to Margaret Bisson for the organ playing. Finally a special thank you to Ken Browne and team at Maillard’s for making all the arrangements and being compassionate and helpful to us all.
Happy 88th darling. The best years of my life were the 56 spent with you, The worst of my life was the day I lost you. Those who couldn’t show their love or call at the open door, they’re the ones with regret evermore.
