Alison and Nick thank all the kind friends who sent letters and cards of condolence and all who joined us at Trinity Church on 10 June last for the Service of Thanksgiving for Miriam’s life. Thanks to the Rev Canon Geoff Houghton for leading the service, to the Rev Tony Keogh for the reading and Michael Blackie for his rendition of ‘The Highwayman’, thanks to Malcolm Whittell at the organ and the Trinity Church Choir for its beautiful singing of ‘The Lord Bless You and Thank You’. Special mention to Sue Le Gallais and her team who did sterling work in the kitchen at the Parish Hall after the service. Extra special thanks to all at the Family Nursing Service (especially Julie) for their care of Miriam, her GP, Dr John Coates and all at the Island Medical Centre and Liz at Island Pharmacy who have assisted us through the years.
