Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, 10 October, 2025, aged 89 years. Hazel was a much-loved wife to David for 68 years, devoted Mum and mother-in-law to Brian and Marguerite, John and Julia and Jane and Karen. Hazel was a loving Granny to Neil, Ryan and Brianna and their partners and Great-Granny to five boys. Hazel will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

STAINFORTH, Dr John Glover

Passed peacefully at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on Saturday, 27 September, 2025, aged 75. Survived by his beloved identical twin, Gordon. John is also survived by his former wife, Viv Pallot and their three children: Debby, Laura and Tim, and four grandchildren in Croatia.

DINGLE, Dr Hugh

Marion and the Dingle family would like to thank everyone who sent cards, letters and expressions of sympathy, following their recent loss of Hugh. They are immensely grateful for the medical care he received at the General Hospital and especially from his GP for many years, Dr Justin Harris. Heartfelt thanks to the Jersey Hospice staff and also to Rev Geoff Houghton for visiting him there in his final hours. Many thanks to Neil Dingle, of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care, for his care and attention to us, to the Rev Mike Keirle for his sensitive leadership of the Committal and of Hugh’s Celebratory Service and to the Rev Kirsty Friend for her participation alongside him. Special thanks also to the St Helier Church choir and to the organist, Malcolm L’Amy, for their significant contribution to the service, and to all who attended and/or made donations to Jersey Hospice Care. Passed away at Jersey Hospice on Sunday, 7 September, 2025, aged 80, after a short and brave battle with illness. Mother to Alma, Grandma to Charlie, sister to Peter and now reunited with her beloved Mario. Gwen will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

A big thank you to all who sent cards, letters, emails and made telephone calls and sent flowers and to those who made donations to Jersey Hospice, MacMillan or to Jersey Cancer Relief. All very much appreciated. Many special thanks to Dr Butt and his dedicated team in Oncology who made it possible for Roy to celebrate his 81st Birthday! Thanks also to Hospice nurses, in particular Nicky, Lauren and Kim. Thanks also must go to the kindness of his Doctor, James Kerr and to the dedicated, caring staff on Bartlett Ward that enabled Roy to return home with the help of more kind and caring staff from Positive Steps and finally much thanks to Nabel and his exceptional team at Le Petit Bosquet where Roy was very happy and so well cared for in the last weeks of his life.
