Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, 17 February, 2013, in Southampton General Hospital, in his 60th year, loving husband of Myfanwy, devoted father of Richard and Mary and brother of John, Janet and Mary. DOB 14. 5. 26. Died peacefully in the presence of his loving family, on Saturday, 23 February, 2013, at 14. 49 at La Haule Care Home, cherished father, father- in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. We little knew when we woke that morn, The sorrow the day would bring, The call was sudden, the shock severe, To part with one we loved so dear. Sometimes it’s hard to understand, Why some things have to be, In His wisdom, God has planned, Beyond our power to see. In heaven dear Dad, I’ll find you, When God’s great work is done, I shall stand once more beside you, When it’s time for me to come. Loving and kind in all his ways, Upright and kind to the end of his days, Sincere and kind in heart and mind, Beautiful memories he left behind.

Throughout your whole life you always gave to other people, you were selfless, generous, sincere, kind and always thought of others before yourself. You were a true gentleman, very respected and fondly thought of by many. Thank you for all the times we spent together, your unconditional love, advice, and the help you readily gave. We are so proud to have been part of your life, we will love you always. Forever dear in our hearts.

You were such a selfless man, your only concern for the welfare of others around you. I am so proud to have been your granddaughter.
