Catherine, our dear friend and fellow Overseas Aid volunteer whose compassion, energy and boundless mischievous humour brought so much hope and happiness to the orphaned children at a small school in Luweero, Uganda. We all treasure many wonderful memories of our times spent with you here at home and far away in Uganda. The legacy of those times and your own achievements still endure. The memories of those happy days shared, will stay in our hearts forever.

All volunteers from the Jersey Overseas Aid projects, Uganda 2007 and 2009, the supporters of the Education Fund for Luweero Orphans and all of the children of Sermon on the Mount Primary School.

Passed peacefully away at home on Wednesday, 2 November, 2016, beloved husband of Shirley, loving Dad of Mark, Martine and her partner Peter, much-loved Papa to Joshua and Arthur. Passed away on Tuesday, 1 November, 2016, big brother to Colin and brother-in-law to Maggie, uncle to Andy and Christian. A loving brother and friend – will greatly miss our regular chats. Those who you love may pass on, But the memories will remain.

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Pinewood Residential Home on Sunday, 30 October, 2016, aged 103, loving widow of Harold, devoted mother of John and the late Peter Turner, mother-in-law to Doreen, grandmother of Russell and Karen and great-grandmother of Paul and Amy. Jersey’s first lady publican, she was an inspiration to many and will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends in Jersey and Australia. Passed away peacefully in her 104th year, loved mum of John and wife Colette, cherished Nan to three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren in Perth W. A. Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 27 October, 2016. She will be missed by all her friends.

Passed away in the early hours at Les Hoûmets Care Home, on Tuesday, 1 November, 2016, in her 100th year. Reunited with her beloved husband Gerald. Will be very sadly missed by sons Nick and Steve, daughters-in-law Amanda and Sue, grandchildren Darren and Sara, Martin and Laura, Jonathan and great-grandson Charley. Now at peace.
