SMITH, Irene Rosemary (née O’Toole)

13.12.1950 – 12.12.2023.

Our dearly loved Mum, Nan and great-Grandma passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, 12 December, 2023, after a short illness, aged 73 years.

They say there is a reason, they say that time will heal,

But neither time or reason will change the way we feel.

For no one knows the heartache that lies behind our smiles,

No one knows how many times we have broken down and cried.

We want to tell you something, so there won’t be any doubt,

You’re so wonderful to think of, but so hard to be without.

We cannot bring the old days back when we were all together,

The family chain is broken now, but memories live forever.

Funeral details to follow.

All inquiries to Pitcher & Le Quesne, Funeral Directors, telephone 733330 or email enquiries@pitcherlequesne.com

VAUGHAN, Dorothy (née Turner) (Dot)

‘Our Jersey Lily’ passed away at home with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday, 19 December, 2023, aged 87 years, beloved wife of the late Mr Samuel Vaughan.

When your Mum’s the strongest woman in the world, who you’re sure will live forever, you have few words to explain her strength or courage, except it will inspire me forever and ever.

She entered this world as the 7th child of Florence and George Turner of Nicole Mill. Our peace maker, truth speaker and love keeper. Your beauty is of the deepest kind, an Angel to every broken mind, you tried so hard to prepare us for when you are on the other side, but nothing could prepare us for losing our number 1, our matriarch and blessed heart, where are we meant to start?

You’re our gold, our treasure, our ‘I love you what ever and I’m going to love you forever and ever’.

You’re irreplaceable, entirely respectable and easily describable. You are my alpha and omega, my north, south, east and west. It’s your time now to rest, as I saw you leave for Heaven, I heard a whisper, Teresa, your Mum was the very best.

Night, God bless Mum.

Your loving daughter Teresa x.

VAUGHAN, Dorothy (née Turner)

09.04.1936 – 19.12.2023.

Be a good shepherd, don’t leave her alone,

Love her as we did, when she was at home.

Treasure her with care, for that Angel is ours,

The best beyond compare.

God bless Mum.

Lots of love, your son Kevin x.

VAUGHAN, Dorothy (née Turner)

09.04.1936 – 19.12.2023.

Nanny, we will miss you, your smile and wise words.

We will miss your stories while looking at the birds.

We have learnt so much from you, things we can’t forget.

The only thing we didn’t learn, is how to cope when you left.

We will miss you forever.

Good night and God bless.

Lots of love Rochelle, Chantelle, Maia and JJ -xXx-
