My wonderful aunty, Godmother and friend. To me you were someone so very special, What more is there to say, I only wish with all my heart, That you were still here today. Aunty Sue, I could never thank you enough for everything that you did for me over the years. I have so many precious memories that I will treasure forever. I am going to miss you so much. Hautlieu staff, Governors and students send our deepest sympathies and sincere condolence to the family of Alan Jones. Gerard Manley Hopkins, a poet we know Alan greatly admired, wrote of how ‘After-comers cannot guess the beauty been’, and there was indeed a very great beauty about Alan, as both a student and teacher at Hautlieu. How greatly we will miss him!

After a courageous battle with cancer, sadly passed away on Friday, 27 September, 2013, a husband, father and grandfather. You were one in a million and can now be at peace with Nan, Pop and friends.
