5. 4. 1931 – 14. 6. 2013. Passed peacefully away at La Haule Nursing Home. She will be sadly missed by her sons Christian and Roger and her daughter-in-law Jane, grandchildren Karen, Jason, Russell and their partners Steve, Loretta and Shelly by her sister June in Holland, Gaas and their family and her brother Jim and Val and their family. At rest at last with her husband Roger.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service of Bernadette are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, St Helier, on Friday, 21 June, at 2. 30 p. m. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too shall miss, My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much, Good times, good friends, a loved one’s touch. Passed away peacefully but suddenly at home, on Wednesday, 12 June, 2013, in his 91st year, devoted and loving husband of 66 years to the late Lilian, beloved father of Rita and father-in-law to Reg, adored grandfather of Aaron, Karena, Monica and the late Martin. Passed away peacefully in the presence of her family and under the loving care of the wonderful staff at Sandybrook Residential Home, on Wednesday, 12 June, 2013, aged 63 years, after a lengthy battle with her disability, borne in the latter years with great courage and humour, much-loved daughter of Alec and the late Rita Podger, twin sister of Margaret and step-sister of Robert and John Lock. God saw you getting tired, A cure was not meant to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, ‘Come to me’. With tearful eyes we watched you, As we saw you pass away, Although we loved you deeply, We could not make you stay.
