PAGETT, Steve

My darling Steve – I watched as you fought with such courage and dignity to stay with me but it matters not why you had to leave, the painful truth is that you have gone and my heart is broken. Forever, I shall remember you for the person I knew you as; an exceptionally strong, supportive, loyal and oh such a precious man. A wonderful Dad to Scott and Ing and it’s so unbearably sad that time didn’t allow you to meet Ephie, but our beautiful new grand-daughter will grow up knowing her Popsey was so very special. There is no doubt, you were one of life’s treasures, truly decent and kind hearted and many lives have been enriched for simply knowing you. You lived life to the full, and even with the progression of your illness, without complaint or regret. I have been blessed with your unconditional love and as long as my heart beats I will love you, my dancing partner, my funny valentine, the love of my life and my best friend. Sleep now my sweetheart, until we meet again. Always and forever, Pat XXX.
