What is a Mum, I’ll tell you this, She’s the one who fills your hearts full of joy, laughter and happiness. Kisses the grazes when you fall, Offers you wisdom when it’s called. Gives you hugs when you are sad. Gives you unconditional love without wanting anything back. Stays up late when you are out. Tucks you in when you’re asleep. Always there in time of need. Is the only friend you will ever need. Stands by her man to keep him strong, Denies what her children have done even when they are in the wrong. The husband may be the man of the house but without his wife the house would crumble, as she’s the one who keeps everyone strong. I’m a daughter who’s so proud to stand alongside her. That’s my Mum. Always in my thoughts, forever in my heart.

Passed peacefully away with George at her side, on Monday, 18 March, 2013, in her 84th year, loving wife of George, mother of Anita, Andre and Jacqueline.
