PATON, Janet Mary (née de Gruchy) (Jan)

Passed away on Friday, 28 June, 2024, adored wife of Andy, and much-loved sister and sister-in-law of Graham and Phyllis, Margaret and Andy and the late Wilfie and Enid. A wonderful aunt and great-aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Jan will be sorely missed by us all.

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of L’Hermitage Care Home on Saturday, 29 June, 2024, aged 93 years, adored wife of the late Bert, loving mother to Steve, Gina, Nigel and Tracey, mother-in-law to Neil, Lisa and the late Pat, loving Grandma and Great-Grandma. Mum will be greatly missed by all her loving family and friends.

PITCHER, Elwyn (née Gibson)

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Jersey Hospice on Thursday, 27 June, 2024, aged 92 years, adored wife of Bernard. Elwyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

DUTSON, Kathryn Ann (née Coldwell)

Passed away on Wednesday, 19 June, 2024, after a short illness having just reached her 73rd birthday, wife and long time companion of David, mother to James and the late Charles, mother-in-law to Beth and Carmel, loving sister to Diane and Granny to Imogen, Eleanor and Isabelle. Fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A real character!

Thanks to the wonderful staff of Cedar Ward and Jersey Hospice who cared for her in her final weeks and to Paul Kemp of De Gruchy’s for the funeral arrangements.

A private funeral has taken place but donations in Kathryn’s memory may be sent to Jersey Hospice.

CURTIS, David Lloyd

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 30 June, 2024, aged 92 years, husband to the late Margaret Curtis, father to Michael, Richard and Laurence, father-in-law to Pippa, Wendy and Mary, Grandpa to Sophie, Chloe, Emily, Rebecca, Alex and Mark and Great-Grandpa to Basile. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Our thanks to the management, staff and residents at Lavender Villa for their care and support while he was with them and to Dr Paul for his support over the years.

David’s funeral will be on Friday, 19 July.

CANTARRANA-ARTECHE, Joan Camille Florence Gillespie (née Bougourd)

Passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Tuesday, 25 June, 2024 in her 91st year.

A beautiful and much-loved mother of eldest daughter Pauline, son Tony Gillespie and daughter Christine.

Our lovely, lively mother, happy, good humored and glamorous lady who loved life and everyone around her. Joan will be deeply missed by her grandchildren and their families, her son-in-law Philip, our Bougourd family, the whole Anderson family and her dear friends.

It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of John who served the Parish as a Constable’s Officer and contributed significantly to housing developments by the Parish.

Past and present members of the Municipality of the Paroisse de la Trinité are invited to attend the funeral service of John at Ebenezer Methodist Chapel at 11.30 am on Wednesday, 10 July and to form a guard of honour at the end of the service.

After 100 years of a life lived to the full, Doris passed away in dignity and peace at Ronceray Care Home, after a short illness, on Thursday, 27 June, 2024, with all the charm and self-determination that has been with her throughout her life until the very end. She will be sadly missed as a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

COXON, Keith

Died peacefully, aged 87 years, on Monday, 1 July, 2024, his children, Debbie, Wendy and Glenn were by his side at his passing. He is fondly remembered as a kind man, loving father and devoted husband to the late Jean who he missed so deeply.

His love for his family was matched by his passion for the ocean. He was cheeky and fun-loving to the very end, bringing smiles and laughter to family, friends and staff at Le Petit Bosquet where he spent his final months.

We all love you so much, Dad, it is a privilege to be your children and we will miss you dearly.
