Formally 895432 Womens Auxiliary Airforce serving at RAF Weeton and Air Intelligence 12, Monck Street, London.

Slipped away peacefully on Wednesday, 4 September, 2024, aged 102, at home, one of the last World War 2 WAAF’s. Beloved wife to the late George Henry Upton, 1073780, also formerly serving at RAF Weeton, loving mother to Derek, Denise and Paul and mother-in-law to Janice, Barry and Sue, grandmother to Christan, Michelle, Leigh, Kiri, James and Emily and their partners, and great-grandmother to Simon, Connor, Arthur, Amelie, Bing, Ernie, Alber and Theia.

Heaven reached down from above and took her away within this Spitfire summer.

ABERY, David

Aged 61 years.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David at his home in Jersey, loving son of the late Bill and Olive Abery. He will leave a huge void in the lives of his partner Selina and her daughter Jess. Dearest and beloved ‘Bruv’ to Julie, Carol, Pauline, Andrew and Michael. David will be deeply missed by all his extended family and his many friends both in Jersey, South Africa and across the world.

Passed away peacefully at Jersey Hospice on Saturday, 7 September, 2024, aged 88, much-loved Mum of Catherine, Neville and Tracy and a very cherished mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

The family are hugely indebted for the kindness shown to our Mum by all the staff at Hospice Care and for the exceptional care provided by Derek and his brilliant team at Serene Care.
