MACFIRBHISIGH, Caoimhighin Iain KHS (Deacon)

Iain passed away peacefully, fortified by the Rites of the Holy Catholic Church on Friday, 25 March, 2022, aged 80 years, a devoted husband, soulmate and greatest friend to his wife Cheryl, respected and loved father to his sons Niall and Tadhg, and Poppa Beardie to his grandchildren of whom he was so proud. He will be greatly missed by his sister and brothers in Eire, his in-laws, nieces and nephews and by all who knew him.

A true gentleman to the end, full of Irish humour and wit.

Suaimhneas síoraí dó (eternal peace to him).

Funeral Service

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral mass for Deacon Iain are invited to meet at St Thomas’ Catholic Church, Val Plaisant, St Helier on Monday, 11 April at 11 am, followed by a private interment.

This service will be live streamed, please log on to www.deltaevents.co.uk/stream/macfirbhisigh if you wish to view the service.

The reception of Iain’s body into Church will take place at 2.30 pm on Sunday, 10 April for those wishing to attend.

POMROY, Robert (Bob)

Previously of Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home in Crawley on Monday, 28 March, 2022, aged 74 years with his family at his side. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife Ann, children Stephen, Diane and Chris and his partner Davin, his grandchildren and many friends.

QUEREE, Nigel Lewis

It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Nigel, loving husband to Judith, caring father to Taryn and Piers, beloved Grandpa to Lyra, environmentalist, former Senator of the States of Jersey and proud Jerseyman.

Passed away peacefully at home at 4.02 pm on Monday, 28 March, 2022, surrounded by his family who loved him. He shall be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

His passion, sense of humour, generosity, love and gentleness will never be forgotten.

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, 20 March, 2022, aged 92 years, beloved husband of the late Hilda, much-loved stepfather of Denis and the late Reg, step-grandfather of Patricia, Susan and David, Carol, Gary and the late Wendy and Julie. Now reunited with Hilda and all his family.

Passed away on Tuesday, 22 March, 2022, aged 87 years, in the tender care of Jersey Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Husband of the late Patricia, much-loved Dad of Lucille, Debbie, Andrew and Michelle, loving Grandpa of Andrew, Charlotte, Sophie, Charlie and Emily, great-Grandpa of Ethan, Livvy, Alexander and Harry, and father-in-law of Doug, Jayne and Mick. Maurice will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
