It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing away of Charlie, who served as a Member of the Parish of Trinity Roads Committee from December 1993 to date. A valued member of our municipality, our condolences go to Rosemary and his family.

HORNBY, Marie Elaine (née Letto)

Beloved wife of Stuart, mother of Tim and the late Alex, mother-in-law to Hannah and Tamara and Nanna to Dylan.

After a short illness Marie passed away peacefully at her home in France with Stuart and Tim at her side. She is now at peace with Alex her beloved son who passed away 20 months ago.

A Cremation was held in France on Friday, 2 April.

A celebration of Marie’s life will be held in Jersey as soon as Covid allows with her ashes being interred in St Martin.

Our beloved father and Papa, we will forever miss you. You were a devoted father and Papa, who brought us so many wonderful memories with your quick wit and kind heart. We take comfort in knowing you are now reunited eternally with our adored mother and Mama, to whom you were devoted. A true visionary, whose success was only eclipsed by your love for your family. You will forever be in our thoughts and hearts.

HOGG, Theresa Jean

Died at the age of 93 on Friday, 19 March, 2021. She will be missed by her Jersey friends, Michael and Lizzie Payne, and Pamela and Edward Trevor. She will be long remembered by her family in the UK.

A private cremation, as wished by her, has taken place.

Passed away at home in the care of her loving family on Wednesday, 31 March, 2021, beloved wife of 53 years to Richard, adored mother of Jacqueline and Louise, and much-loved Grandma to Benjamin and Emily.

MILES, Marion Edith (née Greaves)

Marion passed away very peacefully on Monday, 29 March, 2021, aged 88 years, in the special care of Rozel Ward at the General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late David and mother of the late Nigel (Richard). Rest in peace. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.

Marion’s funeral service will be held at St Brelade’s Parish Church, followed by a private cremation.

DERRIEN, Eunice Lucille (née Hidrio)

Passed peacefully away at the General Hospital on Friday, 26 March, 2021, in her 96th year. Reunited with her late husband George, loving mother of Rozanne and the late Andrea, mother-in-law to Peter, devoted grandmother to Penelope, Antonia, Odonea, Jonathan and Gaynor, and a special great-grandmother.

Funeral Service

Eunice’s funeral service will be at St Martin’s Catholic Church, followed by an interment in St Martin’s Catholic Cemetery.
