MacDOWALL, Sally

An RWB legend, best ‘left-post’ forward and club President. So many memories on and off the hockey pitch. Sally was such a caring person with her family, friends, animals and of course, Charles. We will look after him Sal. Sally’s memory will live on in the RWB spirit.

HALLAM, Elsie Maud (née Fleury) (Babs)

Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Silver Lea Care Home on Sunday, 8 December, 2019, aged 91 years, wife of the late Peter, mother of John, Bill and David, mother-in-law to Bridget, Jane and Tracey, Grandma of Paul, Marcus, Michael, Grace, Emily and the late Charlie and George. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. RAYSON, Shirley Margaret (née Le Monnier)

16. 08. 1941 – 30. 11. 2019. Passed away peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Stuart Court Care Home after a long illness, beloved wife and soulmate of the late John William Rayson, adored mother of Christopher and Angela, second Mum to Linette and much-loved special Grandma of Sean. Mum, you were the strongest, bravest, kindest soul I’ve ever known. The last five years without Dad were so hard for you, but now you’re reunited in love and light and you can both be at peace. I miss you both so much.

SIMON, Lierre Eva (née Le Cuirot) (Ivy)

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 4 December, 2019, much-loved Mum of Ralph, loving grandmother to Kyle and Calli. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Reunited with her beloved husband Lloyd and son Trevor.

HOLGATE, Lily Janet (née Vivian)

Passed away peacefully in her 96th year in the presence of her family on Friday, 1 November, 2019, at Lakeside Care Home, devoted wife of the late Raymond and much-loved aunt of Bill, Grace, Mary and Frankie. The funeral has already taken place. Lily’s family would like to express their thanks to Lakeside Care Home who cared for Lily over the last four and a half years, to friends of the family who sent their love and condolences, and to Maillard’s for the funeral arrangements. Finally, to Rev Ward who conducted the interment of ashes with her beloved Ray at St Clement.

MILES, Mary Elizabeth (née Mead)

Passed away peacefully at home, aged 82 years on Saturday, 7 December, 2019, with her family by her side, beloved wife of 60 years to Tony, cherished mother to Beverley and Richard, mother-in-law to Chris and Helen, adored grandmother to James, Martyn, Scott and Harrison. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. A private funeral will take place. A memorial will be held in Jersey in the New Year, details to follow. Donations in memory of Mary, may be made to an animal charity of choice.

MacDOWALL, Sally Mignon

Our little favourite friend and Godmother has been taken from our lives too early. Such happy memories and much laughter and banter we have had over the years with you and Charles. There was never a dull moment. You were so brave and strong and fought to the end. Our sad loss is heaven’s gain. Miss you. You will never be forgotten and we will look after your Charles.

PETRE, Jean Valence (née Menzies)

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, 6 December, 2019, aged 101 years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. An active volunteer for many charities, an inspiration to many generations.
