Passed away peacefully in Jersey on Friday, 14 December, 2018, aged 81 years, beloved husband of Margaret, brother of Tanya and Sonia, father of Ivan and Anya, step-father of Alison and beloved grandfather of Ben, Tom, Charlie, Lucinda and Rosie. Mountaineer and mountain rescuer, adventurer, teacher, single-handed transatlantic sailor and inveterate writer of thought-provoking letters. He will be much-missed by all who knew him.
