NICHOLSON, Betty
My beautiful Mum, my first love. A Mum who was always there for me through thick and thin, laughter and tears. We had our moments, but who doesn’t. The love and admiration between a mother and daughter will never end. Even though I don’t get to see you or speak to you, you will always be in my heart and my memories. You will always be with me like I was for you, all our chats will stay with me for ever. Being reunited with Dad gives comfort. My heart is broken but I’m truly grateful I had you in my life for 53 years. To see your grandsons grow up into loving, caring men, the ‘Boys’ you adored. On Wednesday we do our final farewell but it’s not farewell it’s ‘See you later’ x. Thank you to the wonderful carers at St Ewolds for caring for my beautiful Mum and for also being caring and concerned about me too, in the last three weeks of her life. It is truly appreciated. Mum you were a true fighter.
Your loving, heart-broken daughter Karen, grandsons Sam, Nathan, Aaron and Jacob and friend to Peter xxxx.

God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered ‘come with me’. With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away, Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, Your beautiful smile at rest, It’s lonesome here without you, However we know you are by our side. And now it’s time to hand you back to Dad’s open arms. Goodnight Mum, sweet dreams, you are loved more than words can say and will always be in our hearts. Love you forever Mum.
Your heartbroken son Gary, Delly and Alicia xxx.
