You held my hand when I was small, You caught me when I fell, You’re the hero of my childhood, And my later years as well. Thank you for keeping your promise, And giving me away, I’m glad that we were holding hands, As you left us on that day. And every time I think of you, My heart still fills with pride, Though I’ll always miss you Dad, I know you’re by my side.

Your loving daughter Katie XX.

Right now you’re in a different place, And though we seem apart, You’re closer than you ever were. You’re there inside my heart, You’re with me as I greet each day, And while the sun shines bright, You’re there to share the sunsets tooYou’re with me every night. You’re with me when the times are good, To share a song or two, And if a tear should start to fall, It’s me remembering you xx. And when that final day arrives, That we no longer are apart, I’ll smile and hold you close to me, Forever in my heart xx.

Till we meet again, Your loving wife Jane xxx.

The rolling stream of life rolls on, But still the vacant chair, Recalls the love, the voice, the smile, Of the one who once sat there. Nothing can ever take away, The love a heart holds dear, Fond memories linger every day, Remembrance keeps him near.

Your devoted son Kieran.
