Our beautiful Suzy passed away unexpectedly on Monday, 17 October, 2016, at the Jersey General Hospital aged 45 years, a loving daughter, sister and partner for ever in our hearts. What is dying?I am standing on the seashore, a ship sails in the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her till at last she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says: ‘She has gone’. Gone!Where?Gone from my sight that is all. She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I last saw her, and just as able to bear her load of living freight to its destination. The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her, and just at the moment when someone at my side says, ‘she is gone’ there are others who are watching her coming, and other voices take up a glad shout: ‘There she comes!’ and that is dying. Funeral ServiceRelatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Suzy are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, on Wednesday, 2 November at 1. 30 pm. Bright clothing with bright hats please. No flowers please. Donations may be sent, in memory of Susan, to Autism Jersey, c/o Treasurer, Mr Brendan Dowling, 2 Britannia Place, Bath Street, St Helier, JE2 4SU.
