LE CORNU, Hazel Marion (née Dawes)

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, 1 May, 2020, aged 84 years, beloved wife of 65 years to Edward, much-loved Mum of Marion and David. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

When I think of the special times we share, she was our rock, surrounded by many of us – pebbles on the beaches of life.

Her love was like the incoming tide, every morning, lapping and embracing everything it touches in an envelope of love, kisses and kindness. She will surely be missed.

Thinking of all our great family times together, and for the amazing love, care and guidance you have shown all your life to me and all those who you have come into contact with and helped over the years. Bryan, thank you for coming into my Mum’s life and being the best Dad a daughter could ever ask for; thanks for being the best Grandpa we could ask for, and thank you for being the best father-in-law I could have asked for. We will miss you so much.

Lots of Love Cherry, Dean, Frazier and Ben xxx.

DALE, Elizabeth (Lizzy).

Adrian, Jonathan, Georgina and Pinot (our Lhasa Apso) wish to thank everyone who sent cards, messages and attended Lizzy’s funeral at the Jersey Crematorium. Special thanks to the Reverend Debbie Poole, a friend of Lizzy’s, for conducting the service and for her moving and, at times, humorous address. During the last four years, whilst fighting cancer, Lizzy received outstanding and compassionate treatment in Jersey, Basingstoke and Maidstone. In particular, we would like to thank the Oncology Department at the General Hospital and Jersey Hospice Care, where she spent her last few days. Thanks also to Paul Battrick and his colleagues for the sensitive way in dealing with all aspects of the funeral arrangements.
