DAY, Leonard Henry (Len)

Margie and her family would like to say a sincere thank you to all the family and dear friends who attended Len’s funeral on Thursday, 30 January, and for the many kind messages, and cards of condolence which meant a lot at this difficult time. Heartfelt thanks too, to attending Dr Adele Sutton who was with Len as he passed, and to Dr Eva Slater for her kindness and care of Len over the last year. Also to David Lister for his thoughtful words and compassion in making the service so comforting, and to Pedro and the staff of Longueville Manor for making Len’s final send-off so special. Finally, heartfelt thanks to Andy Errington-Rennell of Pitcher & Le Quesne Funeral Directors for all his care and kindness in handling the funeral arrangements. Thanks too, for all the thoughtful donations in Len’s memory to the Variety Club of Jersey.

LITTLEWOOD, John Richard (Jack)

Passed away peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday, 11 February, 2020, aged 94 years, loving and devoted husband of Lucille and adored father of John.

DOWDEN, Joan (formerly Dautun)

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, 11 February, 2020, much-loved mother, mother-in-law, Nanny and great-Nanny. She will be missed forever by Trevor, June, Neil, Laura, Chloe and Richie. Always in our hearts.

KIMBERLEY, John Eustace (Jack)

Passed peacefully away in the loving care of Cheval Roc Nursing Home on Wednesday, 29 January, 2020, aged 97 years, reunited with his late wife and best friend Elsie. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Jersey Hospice on Tuesday, 11 February, 2020, loving wife of 30 amazing years to Adrian. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 29 January, 2020, at Laverstock Care Home, Salisbury. She will be sadly missed by all her friends.

FOOT, John Helier

Jane and family wish to thank all family, friends and acquaintances who joined them to celebrate John’s life and memories, and all who sent cards with supportive words in our time of loss. We wish to thank all the staff from Jersey Hospice Care for their kindness, support and care to John and the family, it was very much appreciated. A special thank you to Mark Barrett for his friendship to John, and the moving service he performed from the heart. Thanks to Paul Battrick MBE from Pitcher & Le Quesne for his kindness and support in putting the service together. Many thanks to Cookes Roses for their perfect floral tributes, and also Hotel Revere for their hospitality and refreshments after the service and for making ‘Merlot’ welcome in their hotel. Finally, we take this opportunity to thank those who visited John regularly at Hospice spending many hours in his company. To Brenda who gave up a weekend to stay overnight with John, and especially to Sarah who spent many nights and days with John right up to his passing, and performing the Hare Krishna Rites at the time. Thank you all from us and John.
