PETRE, Jean Valence (née Menzies)

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, 6 December, 2019, aged 101 years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. An active volunteer for many charities, an inspiration to many generations.

RAYSON, Shirley Margaret (née Le Monnier)

16. 08. 1941 – 30. 11. 2019. Passed away peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Stuart Court Care Home after a long illness, beloved wife and soulmate of the late John William Rayson, adored mother of Christopher and Angela, second Mum to Linette and much-loved special Grandma of Sean. Mum, you were the strongest, bravest, kindest soul I’ve ever known. The last five years without Dad were so hard for you, but now you’re reunited in love and light and you can both be at peace. I miss you both so much.

Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Lakeside Care Home with his much-loved son Clayton at his side, on Friday, 6 December, 2019, aged 79 years. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. When you look back over your life, it’s not the things you did you will regret, but the things you didn’t.

VOWDEN, Maurice George (Mo)

Eileen, Bradley and family would like to thank all those who attended Mo’s funeral at St Andrew’s Church on Thursday, 5 December, a wonderful service conducted by Pastor Mark Barrett with a very fitting eulogy by Mo’s friend of over 60 years, Danny Le Marquand. A very special thank you must go to the Oncology team at the General Hospital led by Dr Effie, and Mags Harvey for the support that they have shown over the last 19 months. Also thanks for the love and compassion shown by the staff of Jersey Hospice, where Mo spent his last five days with his family by his side. Great thanks to Julian and staff at Maillard’s for their professionalism and support over this difficult time. Eileen, Brad and family would like to thank everyone for the hundreds of cards they received and the love shown to them by all their friends. It was Mo’s wish to have his after-funeral service celebration at the Sun Bowls Club, First Tower, where he has been a member for over 35 years, and they certainly did him proud. Donations in honour of Mo can be sent to the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.
