Passed away peacefully in the care of L’Hermitage Care Home on Sunday, 9 June, 2019, aged 85 years, loving wife of the late Norman, cherished Mum to Marran, Sue, Shaun, Russell, Neil and Steven, adored Nanny to all generations. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

ROBINSON, Colin

Charismatic officer who served in the Canadian Merchant Navy during the Second World War, has died aged 94 years. In a life of mixed fortunes, he was an electrical engineer and a builder of Canadian airplanes with a passion for foreign languages, a dashing figure in Jersey society, and an eminent hotelier. For decades, Colin Robinson presented in dapper attire, an enjoyer of fine cigars, good brandy and a contributor to many animal charities. He will be remembered for his achievements and his kind demeanour.
