WHITE, Charlie

Passed peacefully away at the hospital on Thursday, 30 May, 2019, aged 71 years, devoted husband of Pauline for over 50 years. He will be sadly missed by his three sisters and brother in England and their families, his brother-in-law Roy and family here, also I’m sure by his windsurfing friends at Bel Royal. By request, he wanted the simplest private funeral. No flowers, but if wished, a donation may be sent to the Jersey Lifeboat Association. Hope to meet all his windsurfing mates one day, as I know all the names but not the faces, he talked and dreamt windsurfing and still hoped to be sailing at eighty. So call in when passing to share memories, he will be watching you all, think of him Thursday as he sails away. To me, he was one in a million.

Love forever, Pauline XXX.

PAYNE, Lorraine

We little knew when we woke that morn, the sorrow the day would bring, The call was sudden, the shock severe, to part with one we loved so dear. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why somethings have to be, In his wisdom, God has planned beyond our power to see. Your smile will never fade away, for in our hearts you will always stay. A happy smile, a heart of gold, No finer wife, Mum or grandmother this world could hold.

Ken, Linda, Mark and Linda, and grandchildren Jenny, Kelly, Natalie and Gemma.
