Passed away quietly at home on Monday, 29 April, 2019, at the grand age of 100 years, beloved mother of Martyn and the late Robin, step-mother of Michael, dearest mother-in-law to Barbara and Ann, grandmother to Matthew, Peter, John, Robert, Rebecca, Gregory and Owen. Deeply missed by all her loving family.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Betty are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, St Helier on Friday, 10 May at 10. 45 am. Family flowers only please, by request. Donations, in lieu of flowers, in memory of Betty may be sent to Jersey Animals’ Shelter, c/o the Administrator, 89 St Saviour’s Road, St Helier, JE2 4GJ (donations to be made payable to JSPCA). Passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Saturday, 4 May, 2019, aged 79 years, dearly loved and devoted wife of Philip and much-loved Mum of Karen, Gary and Trevor, mother-in-law to Tracey and Sahra, loving grandmother to Matthew, Danielle and Lynette and Lynette’s husband Matthew and their children Sterling and Thea. Lilian will be forever in our hearts.

I remember the day your heartache and pain started, it saddens me so much how things ended up, I tried to do right and save you from a life of hell, but just had to walk away in the end. I couldn’t do anything to help you, I tried to warn you so many times, we were so close. I could not stay to see you go through this life, stuff happens and it’s difficult to go backwards. Good and bad comes out of every situation, I am so sorry you got the bad. I failed you, I should have tried harder, nobody deserves to be left alone to die. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, But love leaves a memory that no one can steal. Sleep tight.
