COLBACK, Alan James

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 16 February, 2019, beloved husband and soulmate of Dorothy (née Crowell), much-loved father of Mary, Ruth, Anne and Jean. He will be missed by his sons-in-law and grandchildren.

Family and friends wishing to attend Alan’s funeral service are invited to meet at St Martin’s Parish Church on Wednesday, 27 February at 12. 30 pm. Private interment will follow. SCRAGG, Mary (née Woodbine)

Passed away peacefully in hospital on Saturday, 16 February, 2019, aged 86 years, beloved wife of the late Fred, loving mother of Angie and Mike, grandmother to Julia, Michael, Rosie, Syd and Freddie, great-grandmother to Annabelle, Alice, Emma and Sophie.

Relatives and friends wishing to celebrate Mary’s life are invited to attend the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, St Helier at noon on Thursday, 28 February. Family flowers only. LE QUESNE, Margaret Joan (née Hockley)

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, 17 February, 2019, at the General Hospital, beloved wife of Kenneth for 48 years, loving mother to Damian and Carina, mother-in-law to Jodie, cherished grandmother to Jordan, Jamie, Jaxon, Hannah and Amy, great-grandmother to Chase, devoted daughter to Stan and the late Rita, step-daughter to Annette, wonderful sister to Derek, David and Lynn. Michel, Lucille Edna (née Villain)

Lu’s family thank all relatives and friends for their cards and messages of condolence, for attending Mum’s funeral service and making donations to Jersey Hospice and FoJO.

We also thank Dr Mattock, Dr Liakopoulou, Sister Harvey and the staff in the Oncology Department for their kindness and care of Mum, her neighbours for their care and concern for many years whilst Mum was on her own, Dr Howell, Dr Brown and their colleagues at Indigo medical, the staff and volunteers at Day Hospice, Mum enjoyed her Mondays with you all, Matron and staff of Stuart Court Residential Home for making Mum happy during her short time with them, the staff and volunteers of Hospice IPU for their care and comfort of both Mum and our family, Rev. Mark Barrett for conducting the funeral service, Alan Mollet for playing Mum’s favourite music and, last but not least, Gary Tye and his team at De Gruchy’s funeral care for their care and consideration, making a difficult time more bearable.

RONDEL, Richard

Our sincere thanks to all who made donations towards Jersey Friends of Oncology, Cancer Research UK and Island Friends Together for the ‘Rondel Boys Island Walk’ and the late Richard Rondel’s funeral. Your generosity has enabled us to raise an incredible amount that is sure to make a difference. We also thank everyone for their sympathy cards, messages and prayers, which have provided us with comfort and support during a very difficult time.
