I would like to express my utmost gratitude and appreciation to the many friends, family, acquaintances and work colleagues who have been so supportive to both me and my family. For those who have either contacted me directly or used social media to put their names to messages of comfort and support. For all the cards and flowers that I have received, I have been overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness. Special thanks to Paul Battrick and all the team at Pitcher & Le Quesne for their constant support and care. All the staff at Palm Springs who cared for my father in his last few years, and for their special tribute during the church ceremony. For the staff on Corbière Ward and all the special staff at Jersey Hospice Care, to Deacon Iain MacFirbhisigh for conducting such a moving service, and to Sandra Aguiar for reading my father’s tribute to Marlene Ferrer. Big thanks to Karen and Mark Sowden from The Rose Garden Tearoom in Howard Davis Park for putting on such a wonderful spread and a fitting end to my father’s send off. Finally, a special thanks to my husband Marc for his constant support and love, especially during these difficult past few weeks.
