Devoted wife of the late Brian Romeril du Feu, loving mother of Grant, Scott and Mandy, and doting Grandma of Rachael, Kjirsten, Ashley, Daniel, David and Jonathan, passed peacefully away on Monday, 4 March, 2019, aged 81 years, reunited once again with Dad, her beloved husband and best friend.

A celebration of Mum’s life will be held at the Crematorium on Friday, 29 March at 9. 30 am. Please wear bright colours as she would have preferred. Family flowers only please. McCARTHY, Bartholomew Joseph (Bart)

Angela, Fiona and Paul would like to thank family and friends for attending Bart’s funeral and for their thoughtful cards, letters, flowers, and generous donations. We would also like to thank Deacon Iain MacFirbhisigh for conducting such a personal and heartfelt service, and Jim McGovern for piping Bart into ‘Danny Boy’, also a big thank you to Tony and Liam for their amusing tributes to Bart. We would like to thank the medical people who gave such care and kindness to Bart, especially Karen Hughes and her respiratory team, Glynn and the Rapid Response team, Anne Van Der Vliet his physiotherapist, for her tender care and friendship, the district nurses who were always on hand to give their support and care, and the doctors and staff at Cleveland Clinic who were always helpful. Thank you to La Moye Golf Club for their superb catering for Bart’s wake, and finally, to Paul Battrick at Pitcher & Le Quesne, our grateful thanks for his help and guidance to all Bart’s family throughout this difficult time.
