We will remember your dedication, your laughter, your generosity and above all, your desire to help others at every opportunity. We will cherish the memories we have of our incredible and selfless man, who left such an imprint and made such a difference to so many people’s lives. Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Lakeside Manor on Sunday, 24 February, 2019, aged 82 years, much-loved husband of Cathy, father of Brian and Lorraine. Christine, Dacia, Edward and Mary and their families would like to thank everyone who supported them by sending cards and attending the service of celebration of Dad’s life at St Ouen’s Parish Church. Your support was so comforting to us. We as a family cannot thank Brian Vibert, the organist, Alan Mollet and the Funeral Choir enough for conducting such a beautiful service. Many thanks to Brenda and Pat from Flowers by Design for such an amazing floral tribute for Dad’s coffin; Dad would have been so happy with it. Our thanks to Louise Payn for doing the catering for the wake and to the parish of St Ouen for allowing us to use the hall. Our thanks to Dr Richardson and the nursing staff of Sorel Ward, they were so caring and compassionate. Thank you to Dad’s family doctor, Dr D Balbes and staff of Indigo Medical, also Family Nursing & Home Care and the carers from Evergreen Homecare Services Limited t/a Complete Individual Home Care, for all the support and care you have given Dad and Edward for the last three years. We would like to thank everyone who made a donation to Family Nursing & Home Care in Dad’s memory and finally, but not least, a big thank you to Mark Burke and staff at Maillard’s for all their help and support.

MICHEL, Lucille Edna (née Villain)

Lu’s family thank all relatives and friends for their cards and messages of condolence, for attending Mum’s funeral service and making donations to Jersey Hospice and FoJO. We also thank Dr Mattock, Dr Liakopoulou, Sister Harvey and the staff in the Oncology department for their kindness and care of Mum, her neighbours for their care and concern for many years whilst Mum was on her own, Dr Howell, Dr Brown and their colleagues at Indigo Medical and the staff and volunteers at Day Hospice, Mum enjoyed her Mondays with you all. Matron and staff of Stuart Court Residential Home for making Mum happy during her short time with them, the staff and volunteers of Hospice IPU for their care and comfort of both Mum and our family, Rev Mark Barrett for conducting the funeral service, Alan Mollet for playing Mum’s favourite music and last but not least, Gary Tye and his team at De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for their care and consideration, making a difficult time more bearable.

Dennis will be so deeply missed by all his loving family and friends in Jersey and Wales.
