Passed away peacefully at Jersey Hospice Care, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, 2 November, 2018, aged 73 years. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

BECHELET, Harold Walter
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 24 October, 2018, aged 89 years, with his wife and daughter by his side, in the wonderful and fantastic care of the Jersey Hospital ICU team after a short illness fought with great courage. Beloved husband of Monica for 61 years, treasured father to Linda, Peter and the late Steven, father-in-law to Richard, adored Papa to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.

Shirley, Marcus and family would like to thank all family and friends who attended John’s funeral, for the many cards, flowers, Telephone calls received, and visits on the loss of John. It was greatly appreciated. Heartfelt thanks to Ken Browne at De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for his care and understanding, and grateful thanks to Brian Vibert for officiating at the service. Special thanks to Chris Fairbairn for his splendid speech (memories of John), and organising the reception at the St Helier Yacht Club, who did a superb reception. We would also like to thank the ambulance service who came to John’s aid, the doctors and nurses at the General Hospital Accident and Emergency Department for all their help at this traumatic time. Marcus would also like to thank members and staff, the JDIA past and present from the DVS for their loyal support at this very sad time. Once again, thank you all.
