Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Oak Ward, St Saviour on Friday, 17 May, 2019, aged 87 years, dearest sister of Priscilla, Sylvia and Colin, much-loved sister-in-law to Martin, Sylvia and William, deeply missed by her nephews, nieces and all her loving family and many friends.

Rosemary, Andrew, Jane and family would like to thank everyone who attended Ernie’s recent funeral. Many thanks to Reverend David Grantham for his kind words and lovely church service, and to Gareth of Pitcher & Le Quesne for organising Ernie’s funeral arrangements. They would also like to thank Dr Sean Ryan and Hospice staff who attended to Ernie in his final hours, and also a big thank you to all those who sent lovely flowers, cards and contributions to Ernie’s chosen charity. Finally, thank you to Ivor Barette for the loan of his carriage and two beautiful, stunning horses, and to Kevin Johnstone for the release of three white doves at Surville Cemetery. Thank you all.
