BATCHELOR, Clifford (Batchy)

Norma and Chris would like to thank their family and many friends for their love and support at this difficult time. Thank you for the flowers, cards, phone calls and messages of condolence. We have been overwhelmed. Thank you to the many people who attended the wonderful service led by Reverend Graeme Halls at the Crematorium on Wednesday, 26 September, it was indeed a true celebration of the life of a funny, caring and extremely courageous man who had touched the lives of many people, particularly the young people he came into contact with as the founder of Maufant Youth Club. Thank you to Anita for the lovely poem, and Michael for the moving, humorous and fitting tribute. Thanks must go to all from the Route du Fort Surgery who have cared for Cliff during the past 27 years and anyone else who has been involved in his care both in hospital and at home – thanks Feliciti. Special thanks go to the staff and doctors of Bartlett Ward who cared for Cliff in his final days, helping to make his passing the best it could possibly have been. Heartfelt thanks to Nigel Coutanche, Neil Dingle and the team at De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for arranging the funeral with such care, compassion and sensitivity. Thank you to Floralies for the beautiful floral arrangements and the Post Horn for the excellent reception following the funeral service. Many thanks to Romerils for looking after Chris so well. Final thanks to all who donated to the Stroke Association. YNWA.
