It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Lapidus on Saturday, 5 July, 2025, aged 84.
David was a devoted husband to Pat, a much-loved father, and a loyal friend to many. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
A passionate rugby man throughout his life, David’s enthusiasm for the game was matched only by his dedication to the causes he cared about. He was a proud and long-standing supporter of the Variety Club Jersey, giving his time and energy over many years to help improve the lives of children in need.
David touched the lives of all who knew him, through his warmth, integrity, and his ever-present sense of humour. His legacy is one of kindness, community, and love.

Ron and family wish to thank everyone who attended Lillian’s funeral, she would have been delighted (and surprised) at how many people came to say goodbye. Our sincere thanks to the Rev Carolann Birnie for conducting such a beautiful service and eulogy and Linda Lusak for accompanying the hymns. Thank you to the staff of Bartlett Ward at the General Hospital for their care and Dr Gail Cochrane for her help. We are grateful for the support we received at this time from all our friends, too many to mention but you all know who you are. Finally, many thanks to the staff at Pitcher & Le Quesne for their kindness and especially Andy Errington-Rennell, your colleague would have been proud of you all.
