BASTABLE, Rob

Died in the loving care of the Jersey Hospice staff on Saturday, 21 July, 2018, after battling his illness with humour, dignity and deep faith, dearly loved husband of Frances, Dad to Sam and Joel, Dad-in-law to Jaz and Grandad Bobs to Judah. We have very many happy memories, but Rob is already missed so much. ‘Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. ‘ (James 1:12)Following private cremation, details of a thanksgiving service for Rob’s life will be announced at a later date. MORVAN, Ann

The family would like to thank everyone who called, sent cards, attended Ann’s funeral or donated to Jersey Hospice in her memory. A special thanks to Father Francis Sasinowski who provided spiritual support during her end of life care as well as officiating at the service to celebrate her life. Thanks to Samantha and staff at St Brelade’s Bay Hotel who put on a wonderful celebration buffet after the funeral committal and to Katie at Pallots who worked with the family to provide flowers that Ann would have loved. Thanks to the management and staff of Cambrette for their continued care and support for Ann at home during the final years of her life, and to Jersey Hospice for their care. Special thanks to Dr Edelenbos of Lister House Assts. , who was so attentive to Ann in her final weeks and to the Family Nursing team. Finally, thank you to Mark and staff at Maillard’s for all their support and arrangements, their professionalism and attention to detail helped the family to get through a very difficult time and to give Ann the send off she deserved.

PAYNE, Lorraine (née Maloret)

Ken, Linda, Mark and families would like to thank everyone who sent cards following our sad loss. Special thanks to Andy of Pitcher & Le Quesne who guided us through a very emotional time, always there with words of comfort. Also, special thanks to the doctors, specialists and the nursing staff of Plèmont and Sorel wards who looked after Lorraine with kindness and dedication. Thank you to Father Benjamin Theobold who conducted a lovely funeral service, and to all those who attended. To those who kindly sent donations to Jersey Hospice and thanks to Castro from the Boot and Ball who provided a lovely buffet. Finally, thank you to the girls from Eden by Claire who made the floral arrangements really beautiful.

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, 21 July, 2018, beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Passed away at the General Hospital on Friday, 20 July, 2018, much-loved Mum to Joao, Lurdes and Fernanda and grandmother and great-grandmother. Always in our hearts.

It is with great sorrow that we announce that Eddie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, 16 July, 2018. Eddie was a unique and truly remarkable man who had great warmth and a big heart, he was passionate about many things but foremost his family, who will miss him with all their hearts. He leaves a huge hole in all their lives. He will be deeply missed by his partner Martine, parents Elisa and Jaime, brother Richard and his wife Tina and much-loved nephews Harrison, Mackenzie and Elliott.
