DAURU, Gwenneth Beatrice (née Handley) (Gwen)

Passed away at Jersey Hospice on Sunday, 7 September, 2025, aged 80, after a short and brave battle with illness. Mother to Alma, Grandma to Charlie, sister to Peter and now reunited with her beloved Mario. Gwen will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends.

A private funeral has taken place as she wished.

DINGLE, Dr Hugh

Marion and the Dingle family would like to thank everyone who sent cards, letters and expressions of sympathy, following their recent loss of Hugh. They are immensely grateful for the medical care he received at the General Hospital and especially from his GP for many years, Dr Justin Harris. Heartfelt thanks to the Jersey Hospice staff and also to Rev Geoff Houghton for visiting him there in his final hours. Many thanks to Neil Dingle, of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care, for his care and attention to us, to the Rev Mike Keirle for his sensitive leadership of the Committal and of Hugh’s Celebratory Service and to the Rev Kirsty Friend for her participation alongside him. Special thanks also to the St Helier Church choir and to the organist, Malcolm L’Amy, for their significant contribution to the service, and to all who attended and/or made donations to Jersey Hospice Care. A big thank you to Jan of Oasis for the beautiful flowers, Ruani Gibbings for the recording and to Hector, Laura and the staff at The Windmill for their services also. All much appreciated.

ROLLAND, Lester Phillip

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Jersey Hospice Care on Thursday, 2 October, 2025, aged 81 years, a much-loved husband, Dad, Papa and Great Papa who will be dearly missed.
