Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Jersey Hospice following a short illness borne with great dignity, surrounded by his devoted family, on Friday, 27 April, 2018, aged 79 years, beloved husband of Joan for 53 years, cherished father to Paul and Claire, treasured father-in-law to Alex and Lisa and all round superstar Grandad to Ellen, Amy, Grace and Sam. Special thanks to all the staff at the General Hospital, especially the nursing staff of Portelet Ward for the care and compassion they gave Phyll in her last weeks. To the wonderful district nurses of Family Nursing and to Dr Simon Bonn, who were such a help to Phyll. Zoë, Tracy and Kieron would like to thank everyone who sent their condolences, attended Dad’s funeral and to all who donated to Parkinson’s Jersey. A big thank you to Rev Gerry Baudains for such a lovely service, to Alan Mollet for playing the organ and to De Gruchy’s Funeral Care. He had a good send off. Thanks to the doctors, nurses and special health care assistants who took such good care of Dad during his short time in hospital.
