ROBINS, Vera Violet Robins (née Bayliss)

Vera died peacefully in her sleep on Portelet Ward at the General Hospital on Monday, 6 August, 2018. It was Vera’s wishes that her burial be private. Thanks to all of the staff at the Jersey General Hospital, Samarès Ward, Pinewood and Family Nursing & Home Care for Vera’s wonderful care. To Drs Simon Thompson and James Newton and staff at 7 David Place Surgery. Vera will be remembered for being such a wonderful person and we thank Marina for being such a dedicated friend. Thanks to everyone for the letters, cards and Telephone calls and support at this very difficult time. Vera’s request for donations is to the Special Care Baby Unit of the General Hospital. Cheques to be made payable to Miss C Robins and Mr R Rondel SCBU Charity Account (account audited) to continue their fundraising, because of the outstanding care given to Vera’s granddaughter Alexis. RENOUARD, George Henry de la Riviere

Passed away peacefully with his family at his side and in the loving care of Jersey Hospice on Sunday, 2 September, 2018, aged 81 years, beloved husband of Pauline, father of Stephen and Michael, father-in-law of Amanda and Sandra, loving Papa to Rebecca, Tylor, Chantelle and Hugo and great-Grandad to Logan. He will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and his four-legged companions, Jack, Barney and TJ. BOARD, Patrick

Died so peacefully at his beloved home in South Africa on Sunday, 2 September, 2018, aged 78 years. Deeply loved husband of Karin. Patrick triumphed over such adversity, always with a big smile and wonderful sense of humour. He championed “living for the moment” and will be hugely missed, but leaves behind the best and happiest of memories. A private celebration of Patrick’s life will be held in South Africa. AMY, Betty Margerite (née Leonard)

Bertram and family would like to thank everybody for their support and for all the cards and messages of condolence at this difficult time. Thank you to all who attended the wonderful service conducted by the Reverend Ian Pallent at St Georges Church, this gave us great comfort. Special thanks to Dr Imogen Spence for her tender care and support throughout Betty’s illness. Thank you to all the staff of Maison St Brelade for the wonderful care during Betty’s time there and especially to all the staff of La Haule Residential Home for the tender loving care during Betty’s final days. A special thanks to Paul Battrick and staff of Pitcher & Le Quesne for looking after the funeral arrangements with such dignity and sensitivity. Finally, we would like to thank everyone who has donated to the Jersey Alzheimer’s Association in Betty’s memory.

Ken’s family would like to thank all friends and neighbours who called, sent messages of condolence and flowers, all who attended the service at St Peter’s Church, the Rector, Father Michael Phillips for his sensitive guidance, Church Officers, Audrey Lucas (Bible reading) Martin Smith (Violin) and Sarah Ellis (Piano) for their exquisite playing, Clive Cooper (Organ) and the Funeral Choir who gave courage from the 1st notes of the 1st line of the 1st Hymn. Many thanks also to Dr Bob Parris of Island Medical and the 4 Health care agency who looked after Ken so well, and the district nurses in the past. Thank you to Wendy, Lee and team for the welcoming reception, to Paul Battrick MBE and Pitcher & Le Quesne for their steady and dignified presence at all times.
