DODDS, Joan Winifred (née Watts)

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, 13 May, 2018, in the loving care of Les Hoûmets Care Home, now reunited with her late husband Rupert. Loving mother of Rupert and Nigel, mother-in-law of Margaret and Jacki and dear grandmother of Patrick, Liam, Naomi and Oliver. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. LE GROS, Dany Alexine

George, Jackie, Nicky and their families would like to thank everyone who expressed their condolences following the loss of Dany. To those who called, sent cards, flowers, gave donations to Jersey Hospice Care and FOJO in Dany’s memory and attended the funeral service, thank you very much. We are grateful to Father Francis Sasinowski for officiating at the funeral service, to Clive Cooper for providing the music and the Funeral Choir for their attendance and contribution to the service. We would also like to thank the Honorary Police for the traffic management on the day of the funeral. We would also like to thank Dr Gordon Callander for his loving care of Dany, particularly in more recent times and especially towards the end of her life. Also to Dr Kathy Gilles, Dr Nigel Bailey and the staff at Oncology and to Family Nursing. We are so grateful for the exceptional care Dany received at Jersey Hospice, initially as a day patient and then in IPU where her end-of-life care was treated with such compassion, professionalism and dignity. We are very grateful for the compassion shown to us, too. To Mark, Alicia, Joy and the team at Maillard’s, thank you for facilitating Dany’s last wishes, and for the professionalism and respect shown to her and us too.
