GRIMES, Anthony (Tony)

Passed away peacefully in the General Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, 5 November, 2024, aged 74 years, much-loved husband to Christine, father to Anthony, Claire and Laura, and Grandad to Finn, Ebony, Jay, Oliver, Joshua and Charlie. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

FLAHERTY, John Francis

Sadly passed peacefully away on Wednesday, 6 November, 2024, at Jersey Hospice. Margo, Danielle, Aaron and Jasmine were by his side, loving him till the end, an adored, fun-loving man, who will be missed by his family and close friends here and overseas.

HAMON, Sonia (née Parslow)

Aged 85 years, Sonia passed peacefully away on Monday, 4 November, 2024 at Beaumont Villa Care Home, adored wife of the late Francis Hamon, loving mother of Taisie and Chris, mother-in-law of Graeme and Zoe, much-loved Grandma of Ben, Jack, Maisie, Demi, Leighton, Kayden, and Harrison. Reunited with Francis, the love of her life.

CHEVALIER, Odette

Sadly passed away on Tuesday, 15 October, 2024, aged 66 years. She will be greatly missed by her sons Jason and Leon and all her friends in the community.

A private cremation has taken place.

SMITH, Nigel

Anne, Jen, Heidi, Henry and Huw, would like to thank everyone who attended the funeral service for Nigel, and to those who sent beautiful cards, flowers and messages and those who sent donations to our chosen charities. We would especially like to thank everyone who cared for Nigel, his GP Dr Nick Connell for his compassion and care, to the wonderful staff at Hospice who looked after Nigel with such care, compassion and humour. Thank you to Reverend Mark Barrett for such a lovely service, and to the Posties for their tribute. Thank you to friends who visited Nigel so often, Olivia, Marie and Paul. Special thanks to Nigel’s friend John, and especially to Julie who gave us all so much love and supports at such a difficult time. SHAPLAND, Gloria Mary (née Audoire)

Passed away peacefully at Maison St Brelade on Tuesday, 29 October, 2024, aged 92 years, reunited with her beloved late husband Leslie, much-loved aunt and godmother. She will be sadly missed by all her family in Jersey and Alderney.

FALLE, Martin Arthur (Marty)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Sandybrook Nursing Home on Sunday, 27 October 2024, aged 87 years, adored and loving father to his two daughters, Bronia and Donna, and father-in-law to Martin and Ali, Papa to Kristy, Hannah, Rebecca, Ben and Molly and Great-Papa to Amber, Austin and Alfie.

Grateful thanks to all of the amazing staff at Sandybrook for their devoted care over the last month. Also, to the dedicated team on Plémont Ward at the General Hospital – our heartfelt thanks.
