Many thanks to the wonderful staff of Plémont Ward at the General Hospital who looked after Denis so caringly in his last few weeks. Thanks also to Family Nursing who attended to Denis every day for the past year or so. Grateful thanks to Steve at Maillard’s for all his help and professionalism in organising the funeral, and to Rev Mark Bond at St Brelade’s Church for conducting a moving celebration of Denis’ life.
LIRON, Simone Madeline (née Laverty)
Died peacefully at the general hospital with her family by her side on Tuesday, 20 March, 2018, aged 88 years, loving wife of the late René, devoted mother of Bruce and Jenny, dear mother-in-law of StJohn, Granny of Jonny, Joshie, Joseph and Theo. When angels visit us, we do not hear the rustle of wings, nor feel the feathery touch of the breast of a dove, but we know their presence by the love they create in our hearts.
Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service are invited to meet at Grouville Parish Church on Thursday, 29 March at 11 am.
