Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Friday, 3 November, 2017, aged 81 years, beloved mother of Peter and Helen, mother-in-law of Charlie, loving Nanny of Caitie, Niamh, Shaynee, little Charlie and Brenna, great-Nanny to Hudson and Kaiser.

WOOD, Peter

Peter Wood, the oldest son of Captain and Mrs R G Wood (née du Feu) born in Jersey on 9 May, 1938, died in the USA after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, 15 November, 2017. Peter always insisted on being seen as a Jerseyman throughout his career in consultancy and banking in New York and his subsequent retirement in New Hampshire. He returned regularly to the Island both while at school and university in England and in the course of his subsequent career. He coupled his abiding interest in the outdoors with building up, together with his wife JoAnn, who survives him, an extensive collection of contemporary paintings and sculpture including examples from the Channel Islands.

NORMAN, Royston Leonard Percy (Roy)

Ex British Airways & Hi-Speed Freight Services Ltd. Passed away peacefully of a broken heart in the General Hospital on Wednesday, 15 November, 2017, aged 90 years, exactly two months after losing his beloved wife Val, of sixty-four and three-quarter years. They are now together again as one, leaving behind their devastated, loving son David and daughter-in-law Jenny. God bless. Sleep tight. We love ya xxx.

Wally, sons and family wish to thank all who sent cards, letters and messages of condolence. Also to thank the many who attended Myra’s funeral service and those who were unable to attend through other commitments. Sincere and grateful thanks to Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Storma Care Centre, Oncology and Jersey Hospice for their care, support, genuine sympathy and overall dedication to ensure that Myra’s last few days were dignified and pain free. Thanks also to Pitcher & Le Quesne for overseeing the funeral arrangements and their advice and guidance. Lastly, to the Catholic Church for overseeing the burial service and the use of St Patrick’s Church.

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 8 November, 2017. You fought the last few days as bravely and courageously as the last few years. Forever in our thoughts.
