AMY, Cyril Snowdon

Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Monday, 27 November, 2017, in his 94th year, loving family man to son Brian and daughter-in-law Chris, Grandad to Phillip, Martin, Alison and Nicola, great-Grandad to Liam, Niamh, Iwan, Fraser, Noah and Erin, devoted husband for 68 years to the late Mimi. Grateful thanks to staff at the General Hospital and St Ewold’s Residential Home.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend Cyril’s funeral service are invited to attend St Saviour’s Parish Church on Tuesday, 12 December at 12. 30 pm. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, may be sent in Cyril’s memory to Jersey Hospice Care, Clarkson House, Mont Cochon, St Helier, JE2 3JB. Leesa and Les would like to thank the many who have sent cards and messages following the death of Alice. Thanks to everyone who cared for her at the Little Sisters and to the doctors and staff of Lister Surgery, particularly Rolf, Barbara and David for their support and care. We appreciate the kindness and comfort given to Mum from the hospice team. A huge thank you to the Jersey Ambulance paramedics who have transported Mum to hospital on so many occasions, always professional, skilled, kind and so respectful. To friends and family who have been with us through the last months offering kind words and help in practical ways, we are grateful to you all. Sincere thanks to Gary and the team from De Gruchy’s for all their help and support over the last weeks. We are most appreciative of Deacon Iain MacFirbhisigh for conducting the funeral service so sensitively and for the comfort he has offered. Alice was a unique person. She will never be forgotten!
