Father in heaven, hear my prayer, Guard my dear father with loving care, Be a good Shepherd, don’t leave him alone, Love him, dear Lord, like I did at home. What I would give to see him smile, To sit and talk with him a while,
To have him here in the same old way, Would be my dearest wish today.
