NELSON, Ruth Phyllis (née Summers) MBE

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, 12 October, 2017, aged 99 years, mother of Philip and the late Tina, grandmother to Robin, Simon, Nicholas, Charlotte, Rupert and Pippa, great-grandmother of Daniel, Megan, Stefanie, Noah and Harley. Sadly missed.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Ruth are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, St Helier on Friday, 27 October at noon. Passed away peacefully at Sandybrook Care Home on Saturday, 14 October, 2017, aged 88 years, much-loved husband of 62 years to Dorothy, beloved father of Pauline, Margaret, Stephen and the late Carol, devoted grandfather of Nick, Tom, Emma, Daniel and Melissa, great-grandfather of Molly, Elsie and Jacob. Harold Edward Baudains passed away in his 89th year on Thursday, 12 October, 2017, after a long illness bravely borne, at home with his daughters Pam and Sheila, and granddaughter Joanne at his side. Will be sadly missed by his family, Paul, Jeanette, Marcus, Megan and Lilliander, now reunited with his beloved wife Beryl two days before the 21st anniversary of her death. LE VESCONTE, Denys Huelin –

Margaret, Philip and Claire would like to thank all the relatives, friends and colleagues who attended Denys’ funeral, in particular those who read the lesson and paid tribute to Denys. Thanks also to Reverend Beverley Sproates, for her kindness and support and for leading such a beautiful service in celebration of Denys’ life, and to the members of the JRA and St John’s Rife Club who formed a Guard of Honour and paid tribute to Denys by firing a last shot for him at Crabbé rifle range. Special thanks to all the staff on the ICU who looked after Denys so well in his last days, to the Cardiac nurses and to Dr Andy Vincent for their care over the last few years. Finally, sincere thanks to all those who made donations in memory of Denys to the British Heart Foundation and the Jersey Heart Support Group, and all those who shared such lovely memories of Denys in cards, letters and messages of condolence which are a great comfort to us at this time.
