Malcolm and Jean would like to thank all the relatives and friends who attended Muriel’s Thanksgiving Service to celebrate her 97 years of life. Malcolm would like to thank all those who sent cards, emails, phone calls, letters and text messages of sympathy. Special thanks must go to Dr Rhys Perkins for his medical care to Muriel over some 35 years. A very special thanks to all the staff at Palm Springs who cared for Muriel over the last two years of her life and to the staff at St Ewolds Residential Care Home for how they had looked after both Muriel and Louis since 2005. To the Reverend James Taylor, Vicar of the Town Church, for all his care and support and for conducting such a memorable and moving service. To Canon Geoff Houghton, who not only read a lesson but who also gave the moving Tribute to Muriel, (The Duchess). To Mary Osmond who also read a lesson and who together with the Funeral Singers, members of St Thomas’ Church Choir and the Town Church Choir, created such magnificent singing during the service. To Jason English who controlled the Town Church Organ prior to the start of the service. To Simone Garton, for singing so beautifully a special version of ‘Think of me’ by Andrew Lloyd Webber and to Geraldine Ferreira, for her solo during the hymn, May the choirs of Angels. And finally, a very special ‘Thank You’ to Steve de Ste Croix and the team from Maillard’s for all their care and support.
