PARKES, Adela Zara (Della) (née Harris)

Passed away peacefully on Monday, 25 September, 2017, aged 87 years, beloved and devoted wife of Gerry, and wonderful and loyal friend to many. Della will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the celebration service of Della’s life are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount, St Helier on Thursday, 12 October at 10. 45 am. No black or mourning clothes to be worn, bright colours only. Family flowers only please, to be sent to De Gruchy’s Funeral Directors by Wednesday evening. NORMAN, Barbara Valerie (Val)

Roy, David and Jenny would like to thank everyone who attended Val’s funeral or sent such lovely cards and letters of sympathy. We must say a special thank you to Martine and all the Palliative Care Nurses from Jersey Hospice for making Mum’s final hours so peaceful, at her own home, within sight of her garden bathed in sunlight. To Dr Rhys Perkins and Dr Sam Rayner from Castle Quay Medical, the Family Nurses for the weekly visits and a special mention to carers Adele and Emma for that Friday lunch time. To Reverend Jenny Pathmarajah for the beautiful service and for the words of encouragement to be strong for the tribute. And finally, to Paul Battrick MBE and the team at Pitcher & Le Quesne who helped us say goodbye to Mum, guiding us all the way with such care and dedication. Thank you.
