SHANAHAN, John

Passed away in the tender care of the General Hospital on Monday, 12 June, 2017, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Jennifer, much-loved father of Kerry and her husband Andrew, and Michael and his partner Charlotte, loving Grandpa of Barnaby, Alice and Oompah of Noah. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. A kind, quiet, gentle man.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for John are invited to meet at the Crematorium Chapel, Westmount Road, St Helier on Monday, 26 June at 2 pm. Family flowers only please. LE LIEVRE, Clarence Charles

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Clifton Care Home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, 11 June, 2017, in his 90th year, beloved husband of 62 years of Dorothy (Judy), much-loved Dad of Paul and Stephen, father-in-law of Susan and Maxine, loving Grandpa to Mark, James, Emma, Lauren and Hannah-Marie.

NICHOLSON, Betty

Gary, Karen and their families would like to thank everyone who attended Mum’s funeral, sent cards, flowers, messages and donations to her charities. Special thanks to those who visited Mum over her last year, she truly appreciated it. To Nigel and his team from De Gruchy’s for their excellent assistance. Died peacefully in the tender care of Jersey Hospice on Monday, 12 June, 2017, much-loved Dad of Claire, Jonty, Anna, Sarah and Richard, a Poppy to his nine loving grandchildren. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Reunited with his beloved wife Trich.

FLEMING, Marie

Devastated at the sudden loss of my dearest and loving best friend, Marie. Having a friendship that was strong with never a cross word will be something we will cherish. I will miss you so much and remember you always as a kind and loving person and how good you were with children and the elderly of St Andrew’s Church who all loved you. You will never be forgotten. Inga and family wish to thank their many friends for their kindness and support before and after the death of their devoted husband, father and grandfather. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the General Hospital, Silver Lea and Silver Springs Care Home and Hospice Care. Our appreciation to the entire staff at Maillard’s Funerals, the splendid service and choir at Holy Trinity Church conducted by Canon Geoff Houghton and all who made donations in Robin’s memory. ‘To live in the hearts of those we love, is not to die. ‘

Helen, Nigel, Mike, Jon and families would like to thank all their relatives and friends for their sympathy and support on the loss of Gerald. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Jersey Hospice for their loving care during Gerald’s final days and to Dr Coates for looking after Gerald over many years. Thanks also to Father Francis and the Little Sisters for the beautiful funeral in the chapel and to Aurelie for the music.
