SOHIER, Philip
Sadie, Natalie, Lisa, Julie, Mandy, Trevor and Paul would like to express their thanks to everyone who attended Phil’s funeral. We would also like to thank Maillard’s Funeral Directors, in particular Steve, for the professional and sympathetic way in which he handled all of the arrangements, and Alicia for the manner in which she conducted the service, even managing to introduce humour to an otherwise very sad occasion. Oh, by the way Alicia, the ‘spoon collection’ referred to the numerous occasions Dad would arrive home from the Day Centre or someone else’s dinner table with a collection in his trouser pocket!! Our thanks also go to the Hospice and District Nurses who attended Dad in his final days, but most important of all, we would like to express our sincerest, heartfelt gratitude to the truly wonderful care staff at La Haule Residential Care Home. The love, kindness, consideration and respect that they treated not just Dad with, but all of the residents, went way beyond being just a job. They looked after them, attending their every need as though they were one of their own family, nothing was too much trouble. Our final thank you goes to all of you who generously donated to Jersey Alzheimer’s Association. This cruel disease is set to become the biggest killer of the 21st century, having more deaths attributed to it than heart disease and cancer.

PAISNEL, Yvonne Marion Ann
Those special memories of you will always bring a smile, If only I could have you back for just a little while, Then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do, You always meant so very much and always will do too. The fact you are no longer here will always cause me pain, But you’re forever in my heart until we meet again. I love you Yvonne and will miss you every day.
Your devoted and loving husband, Edward XXX.
