McCREERY, Betty

Betty’s family would like to say a sincere thank you to all who came to the funeral and for all the lovely cards, messages and flowers. Particular thanks to Alicia Jarvie for leading the service with such sensitivity and warmth. Thanks also to Steve at Maillard’s for his professional handling of the funeral arrangements and to Cara at St Brelade’s Bay Hotel for organising the perfect send-off. We would also like to thank Pearl Thebault and all the staff at Maison St Brelade Care Home for their love and care and for making the past two and a half years such a happy time. Special thanks to the ‘Saturday Club’ and Betty’s other friends for all the fun and laughter that she enjoyed in recent years. We will be forever grateful.

BELL, Brenda (née Leckie)

Passed away peacefully at Jersey Hospice Care, on Monday, 4 September, 2017, aged 74 years, reunited with her beloved late husband Bob, much-loved mother of Alex and Vicky. Passed away peacefully in the tender care of the General Hospital on Friday, 1 September, 2017, aged 90 years. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Reunited with her beloved husband Clifford.

SHORTO, Robert (Bob)

June and family would like to thank everyone who attended Bob’s funeral, those who called and sent cards, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks to the staff on Bartlett Ward who looked after Bob when he was very ill. Thanks to the directors, management and staff at Sandpiper and Kim Noble for her lovely words during Bob’s service. Special thanks to Joy and the team at Maillard’s for her continual guidance and support. Finally, thanks to Reverend Graeme Halls for the beautiful service. Bob will be sadly missed by June, his wife of 59 years.
