Passed away peacefully on Friday, 9 August, 2024 in the care of Jersey Hospice, aged 90 years. Husband to the late Patricia, brother to Mollie, Joyce and the late Denis, beloved father of Tony and Jenny and companion of Margaret. Will be sadly missed.

PINEL, Roy

Pam and family would like to thank all those who sent cards, donations and those who attended Roy’s recent funeral. With special thanks to Dr Albert for his constant care over the last few years, the nurses on surgical at the hospital and especially all of the staff at Les Charrieres Care Home who enabled Roy’s family to spend as much time as possible with him during his last few days. Many thanks also to Mark at Maillards for putting together such a moving tribute and arranging the horse drawn hearse for Roy’s last journey which was especially fitting. Finally a special thanks to the Rev Beverley Sproats, the Rector of St John’s Church for conducting such a meaningful and comforting service celebrating Roy’s life.

LUKE, David Rochfort

Passed peacefully at Clarkson House on Wednesday, 7 August, 2024, beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather.

Passed away peacefully in the tender care of Jersey Hospice on Friday, 2 August, 2024, aged 92, beloved wife of the late Alastair Fairlie, adored mother to Carlo, Helena and Graeme and a much-loved grandmother and great-grandmother.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeside Care Home, on Wednesday, 7 August, 2024, aged 95 years, much-loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and beloved wife of the late John. Now reunited.

Funeral Service

A private cremation will take place.
